The Republican frontrunner (top) Donald Trump has demanded 'a total and complete shutdown' of Muslim immigration into America, which David Cameron said was 'divisive, unhelpful and quite simply wrong'. Labour MP Stella Creasy condemned Mr Trump as a 'hate preacher'.
In an unprecedented condemnation, Mr Trump came under fire from Scotland Yard, Downing Street and the leading contenders to be London Mayor after he claimed areas of the British capital are too dangerous for police, sparking calls for him to be banned from Britain.
He said: 'We have places in London and other places that are so radicalised that police are afraid for their own lives'. Current Mayor of London Boris Johnson said Mr Trump was speaking 'utter nonsense' and openly mocked the American, adding: 'The only reason I wouldn't go to some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump.'
