A 2016 budget of N6 trillion was yesterday proposed by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in Abuja after the sum passed the Medium Term Expenditures Framework (MTEF).
According to the Minister for Budget and Regional Planning Senator Udo Udoma, the budget was in line with the MTEF’s projections of crude oil prices staying at $38 per barrel.

He added that the approved MTEF would be forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration while the government continued working on the actual 2016 budget proposal for submission to parliament at a later date.
