Man dies after Consuming Energy Drink over N1,600 bet Money

 

Elijah Nwankwo was contesting in a drinking competition for the sum of N1,600, as he reportedly slumped and died after consuming 8 cans of an energy drink called 'Bullet Energy Drink.' The incident which happened in Enugu State, has thrown the community and his family into mourning and confusion over his untimely death, Pulse reports.

An eye witness disclosed that the late Nwankwo and some friends were having a nice time at a drinking joint when an argument on who could consume more quantity of drinks than the other, ensued and the deceased boasted he could finish a carton of the drink, which is 24.

 

Another friend, named Chikwado Nchionu, took him on and a bet of N1,600 was put up. Late Nwankwo could however, get as far as 8 cans of the drink before he became weak and slumped. he went into a coma and was rushed to the Mother of Christ Hospital, Enugu, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
