Miss VEENZUELLLA was a student at the Acdemy |
MailOnline recently visited the oldest academy in Caracas to talk to the girls, their parents and the academy bosses about how the country creates more 'Miss' competition winners than anywhere else in the world. There are hundreds of beauty academies in Caracas, Venezuela, dubbed 'Miss factories'. At Belankazar academy, above, there are 600 girls on the books, aged five to 29.
The shocking revelation is that the girls take extreme measures to lose weight, with girls as young as 16 undergoing drastic surgery to cut out their large intestines so food passes through their body without being digested.
Other methods include sewing plastic mesh on girls' tongues to prevent them from eating solids, and having tight straps around their waists for weeks to compress it. Some girls are even given hormone injections to stop the onset of puberty.
It crazy, isn't it. Gradually we are heading to the world of human robotic. Lol!
