Pope Francis Bows, Asks For Blessing From Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew In Extraordinary Display Of Christian Unity

Still on Turkey Trip,  Pope Francis  meets with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I (R) of Constantinople and  both hug on November 30, 2014 after a celebration of a divine liturgy at the Orthodox Patriarchal Church of St. George in Istanbul.

 Pope Francis urged leaders in the region to intensify help to victims of the Islamic State group, and especially to allow Christians who have had a presence in the region for 2,000 years to remain on their native lands.
