Photos of First Dallas Nurse, Declared Free Of Ebola, Meets With Obama


  • Nina Pham, 26, from Fort Worth, Texas, who first caught the Ebola virus in the US after been diagnosed in October 12 while treating Thomas Eric Duncan, 42, in Dallas.who died October 8.

  • Miss Pham been declared Ebola Free and  released from NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on Friday, 12 days after being diagnosed with the virus. 

  • She thanked the prayers she received from all over the world and a blood transfusion from Dr Kent Brantly - the American doctor  - as she was released from hospital on Friday, 12 days after being diagnosed with the virus.


  • Dr Brantly, who contracted the disease in Liberia donated blood that was transfused to Miss Pham. It is believed the antibodies in the blood helped her fight Ebola because he had already survived the virus.
The Dallas nurse was taken straight to the White House to meet President Obama who welcomed her with a hug.


Her dog will be release by November 1 after completing 21-day incubation period.
