Police Arrested Man, 29, who admitted to 'spraying rat poison on produce at Whole Foods salad bar'

The man who was caught on surveillance camera spraying a mixture of liquid that included mouse poison on food at a Whole Foods in Michigan has been arrested Tuesday.
 
Kyle Andrew Bessemer, 29, was charged with two felony counts of poisoning food, drink, medicine or water supply causing property damage, each punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
 
He had pwas also charged on two counts of poisoning food, drink, medicine or water supply, each punishable by up to 15 years in prison. 
 
Bessemer appeared in court on Thursday and said he is has a long mental hisotry and he believed someone was trying to poison him, according to Michigan Live.
 
Authorities previously said Bessemer admitted to spraying a mixture of Tomcat mouse poison, as well as an alcohol-based hand sanitizer and water onto food at three grocery stores within the last two weeks in Ann Arbor.  

 
Whole Foods said that all of the food was disposed after the team member reported what they witnessed.   
 
The FBI says the matter is still under investigation, as they are checking 12 other stores that may have potentially been affected. 
 
But state officials said all stores should now be considered safe to shop in. 
The chemicals within the liquid sprayed onto the food are a form of 'anti-coagulant', which is 'similar to those found in medicines that have an anti-clotting function', according to Michigan Live.
