 Australian teenager Olivia Sturgiss, who shares a striking resemblance with the 26-year-old American singer Taylor Swift , says she probably won't pursue that career path as she is simply 'too much of a fan' and feels she owes some degree of loyalty to Taylor after meeting her in Melbourne last December.

 

Appearing on Channel Seven's Sunrise on Monday morning, the 19-year-old New South Wales resident told hosts Samantha Armytage and David 'Kochie' Koch: 'I'm aware that it could make me money but I'm too much of a fan to actually take it up as a full time job sort of thing'.

'I'd feel like I was somewhat cheating her in a way.

 

'I definitely considered it but I don't know how I feel about it to be honest,' she continued.

The blonde beauty said she is actually set to record her own single in Melbourne next week

'If I was to make a name for myself, I'd like to make a name for myself in my own right, to rely on my own talent,' she explained.

'So that's what I'm sort of doing with this single and intertwining that with a few other projects.' 

Meanwhile when appearing on Channel Ten's The Project last week, Olivia did consider the idea of having her own 'Taylor Swift show', after being told she could earn up to $1 million a year. 

Rising star Olivia was dressed to impress, with Taylor's signature winged eyeliner and striking red lipstick completing her look as she was interviewed by The Project's Tommy Little.
