Some of the Internally displaced people are not hindered by the situation, still are trying to have a normal life events.
Data from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) revealed that between August and September, over 410 births were recorded in its Borno and Adamawa camps for IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) while 187 marriages were also conducted during the same period.
The figures were provided NEMA director general (DG) Muhammad Sani Sidi while receiving a delegation from the Bring Back Our Girls Group (BBOG) in Abuja. According to Sidi, NEMA personnel trained in camp coordination and management had been deployed to manage various camps in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.
Sidi also appealed to BBOG to extend its activities to cover issues relating to unaccompanied minors, mass childbirth in camps and disaster management. The meeting ended with NEMA and BBOG agreeing to collaborate in a number of sectors.
