Samsung's Galaxy S6 is the world's fastest phone, beating the likes of the iPhone 6 and LG G4 in a series of real world and benchmark tests.
Samsung has the world’s fastest phone in its portfolio: the Galaxy S6. In real-world tests and synthetic benchmarks conducted by Tom’s Guide, the Galaxy S6 blew the competition away.
Six of the latest smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy S6, Apple iPhone 6, HTC One M9, LG G4, Google Nexus 6, and Asus ZenFone 2 - were put up against one another in nine tests. The Galaxy S6 finished top of the pile in six out of the nine tests.
LG’s G4 was the runner-up, but managed to claim the fastest camera-open time and best storage benchmark score. Apple’s iPhone finished third, tying for first in the real-world gaming test and second in the PDF load-time score. '
The site was left disappointed with the Nexus 6’s result; it finished fifth overall, but last in a number of tests. Asus’ ZenFone 2 finished sixth overall, though it did top the Wi-Fi Speed test and claimed third in the memory benchmark.
If you didn’t see your handset here, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not quick enough to compete.
