Just a week after writing a warm letter of encouragement to Nigerians, Pope Francis today March 27th donated money from the Italian church offerings to Nigerian families affected by Boko Haram activities in the north.
According to Vatican press, Pope Francis referred to the money as a "tangible sign of solidarity" to the affected families, adding that the Pope does not "forget their suffering,". They didn't say how much exactly he donated.
