Germanwings Plane Crash Investigations Reveal Co-pilot Deliberately Crashed Plane, Killing 150 On Board

Investigations into the tragic crash of Lufthansa's Germanwings flight 9525, which resulted in the death of 150 people have revealed shocking evidence today. Daily Mail reports that the co-pilot of the Germanwings plane locked his captain out of the cockpit before deliberately crashing into the mountain. Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin gave chilling details of the final 10 minutes in the cockpit before the Airbus A320 plunged into the French Alps killing all 150 on board.

He revealed that the co-pilot - named as 28-year-old German Andreas Günter Lubitz (pictured) - locked his captain out after the senior officer left the cockpit. At that point, the co-pilot used the flight management system to put the plane into descent - something that can only be done manually.
The captain can then be heard asking for access.

He knock ands asks him to open and starts banging. All the time, you can hear the co-pilot breathing, Mr Brice revealed. Pictured top right is Lubitz' home in Montabaur in Germany.
