Nigeria Silver Spoon Kids Who are Contesting in the 2015 Election


Is not news that to run for an election you need both money and godfather backing. As Nigeria elections is scheduled to hold next month has seen the emergence of some silver spoon kids with strong financial backing on the political landscape. While they all have strong political pedigree, most of them are women from influential political parent.


Erhiatake Ibori is the daughter of the immediate past governor of oil rich Delta State, James Ibori.
Ms. Erhiatake, who is said to be in her 20s is contesting for a seat in the State house of Assembly, where she would represent Ethiope West constituency, under the People's Democratic Party; the same party her father belongs to.


                                                                         Omosede Igbinedion is the daughter of the Esama of Benin, Sir. Chief  Gabriel Igbinedion. The light skinned lawyer isn't the only politician in the family as her eldest brother, Chief Lucky Igbinedion is a one time Governor of Edo State.
She isn't relying on the power and influence of her family though as she has been campaigning seriously, moving from community to community in her constituency.
Omosede is contesting for the House of Representative Seat under the People's Democratic Party; the same political party her brother belongs to.

Babajide Obanikoro is the son of APC stalwart and Nigeria's former ambassador to Ghana,
Amb. Obanikoro.
The Political Science graduate has already been through the intrigues of Nigeria politics having contested the results of the last Ikoyi/Obalende LG chairmanship election, in which he was one of the contestants. He was later declared the winner as the court ruled in his favour.

Babajide who is the former chairman  Ikoyi/Obalende Local Council Development Area is contesting for the State House of Assambly seat under APC.


Barr. Uyi Ogbemudia
This lawyer turned politician who was a Commissioner of Education in the State, is the daughter of the former Governor of Bendel State (now Edo and Delta States), Gen. Sam Ogbemudia (rtd).
She is contesting for the Oredo West seat in the Edo State House of Assembly.


Prince Sultan Adedeji
Prince Sultan Adegbayibi Adeniji-Adele is the son of  Lagos State politician, Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele.
The lawyer recently took out an advert distancing himself from his father's decision to leave APC. He also reiterated his loyalty to Lagos State strongman, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Prince Sultan is seeking reelection into the Lagos State house of Assembly where he would represent people from his constituency of Amuwo Odofin .
