Nigerian Parents lose custody of their 9-year old twins after Uncle left them alone for weeks

Nigerian parents, Jerusalem and Gladys Monday, have lost custody of their 9 year old twins after they  were left in care of their uncle Giobari Atura (pictured above) who also left them to care for themselves in their New Hampshire apartment for weeks. Incident which happened while parents travelled  and overstayed sue to illness and passport problems in Nigeria prompting the school authority who notice the children usually eat breakfast and lunch in school and also sometime do come late. Effort to reach their parents failed and the school authority reported to the police after interrogating the twins.
 
Manchester police said the uncle, 25-year-old, who is a brother to the twins father told them he would stop by every couple of days to drop off food, but when police got involved in November, they found no edible food in the refrigerator and only ramen noodles in a cabinet. Atura was charged in December with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. He was freed on $500 bail.

In an interview with police, one of the boys said "he felt lonely while staying at their own house because his mom and dad were not there and nobody was with them," according to the affidavit.
