U.S. RESTORES Collaboration with Nigerian Governemnt to Defeat Boko Haram, rescue Chibok girls

Public Affairs Department embassy in Nigeria acting on behalf of United States on Friday in Abuja announced that the U.S. government has restated its commitment to support Nigeria’s efforts to rescue the abducted Chibok girls and all others who have been abducted in various communities as well as fight terror in the land. “We are aware of reports from persons who fled the scene of the attack that suspected Boko Haram gunmen kidnapped more than 100 women and children and killed 35 people.“We abhor such violence, which continues to take a terrible toll on the people of Nigeria, and we extend our condolences to the victims and their families.
“Boko Haram has shown no regard for human life,” it said.It expressed concerns that this year alone, Boko Haram had murdered thousands of innocent people in vicious attacks on schools, churches, and mosques.According to the statement, Boko Haram attacks have resulted in displacement of hundreds of thousands of Nigerians.
