Jennifer Lawrence, the Oscar-winning actress is to become the highest earning Actor according to Forbes’ annual list of Highest Grossing Actors of the Year, a mere four years since her breakout role in “Winter’s Bone” pulled in only $2 million.
J. Lawrence’s financial growth is due to her starring roles in two of 2014’s most successful franchise films, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1″ and “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” which both grossed a combined $1.4 billion at the global box office.

Lawrence now beat runner up Chris Pratt by roughly $200 million. His films, “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “The Lego Movie,” cleared $1.2 billion in 2014.
In third place on the list is Scarlett Johansson with $1.18 billion. She scored big with action-heavy roles in Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and Luc Besson‘s “Lucy,” while also earning some money starring in the more deliberately paced indie alien drama “Under the Skin.”
Mark Wahlberg (“Transformers: Age of Extinction”) and Chris Evans (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Snowpiercer”) rounded out the top five with $1 billion and $801 million, respectively.
