I found this interesting and decided to share. Church of Almighty God is China has a worships a Female Jesus. They believe Jesus is back on Earth but this time as a middle aged Chinese woman named Lightening Deng.. Hilarious, isn't it? I guess the church founder discovered the world can't do with women. Lol! But not to the extent of attributing Jesus as a woman.
The Church is said to have over 3 million members in China. The group worship in secret, members never talk on mobile phones and they are banned by the Chinese government. However, the Chinese government calls the Church of Almighty God an evil cult.
The Church has been banned in China But membership is still growing. Because in may this year a young mother was murdered in a McDonald's restaurant in Eastern China by members of the cult after she refused to join them.
In the countryside Samuel introduces me to his family. They are farmers who believe in the communist party.
The Church of Almighty God is just one of many off-shoot Christian sects across this atheist nation. China has more Christians than communist party members. It's said that more Chinese attend Sunday mass than the whole of Europe combined. But strict religious control force makes many churches to operate in secret, providing fertile ground for the growth of off-shoot sects.
What marks the Church of Almighty God calls the communist party the "great red dragon" which it is out to be destroyed.
