CNN’s Inspiring Women of 2014 List includes Late Dr Stella Adadevoh, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie & Lupita Nyong’o

Today Monday 22nd December 2014, CNN presented its list of the Leading Women of the year. Women who have inspired a lot of people in 2014. The women on the list were nominated by readers, partners and organizations

On the list is the late Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh. She was the doctor who sacrificed her life to contain Ebola patient Patrick Sawyer. “Her efforts prevented the wider spread of Ebola in Nigeria,” says CNN.
 

Also on the list are Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Academy Award winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o, Angelina Jolie for her Humanitarian works, Kerry Washington a.k.a Olivia Pope in the arts section as well as “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes.

The cable news network finds these women who excelled in their professions in 2014.

Noble Laureate Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are also on the list.
