Police arrested a man whose intention is yet to be known after he drew closer to the Canadian Prime Minister as he lays flowers at the Crime scene where the heroic soldier was shot dead at the National War Memorial Ottawa on Wednesday.
The killing of the Canadian soldier was the second this week with a possible link to Islamist militants.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife on Thursday were laying a wreath when the suspect became a nuisance at the crime scene.
According to news report, "He crossed the tape. We told him not to. He didn't listen,' said a police officer at the scene."
The unknown man kept moving towards the Prime minister until he was surrounded at gunpoint by men in uniform and arrested.
The Parliament Hill complex has been under high security scrutinizing and vigilance.
The Prime Minister Harper pledges to redouble the country's fight against "terrorist organizations.
"Let there be no misunderstanding, we will not be intimidated. Canada will never be intimidated,' he said.
"This will lead us to strengthen our resolve and redouble our efforts and those of our national security agencies to take all necessary steps to identify and counter threats."
