Ben Carson thinks Harriet Tubman is not worth $20 bill rather on a $2 bill

Former presidential candidate Ben Carson isn't a fan of the U.S. Treasury Department's plan to replace former President Andrew Jackson with Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill.

Carson appeared Wednesday on Fox Business Network, where he voiced his displeasure with the decision. "I think Andrew Jackson was a tremendous secretary, a tremendous president," Carson told Neil Cavuto.

Carson noted one of Jackson's most legendary accomplishment is balancing the federal budget. "In honor of that, we kick him off of the money," Carson said.


When asked if he was "anti-Tubman," Carson said, "I love Harriet Tubman, I love what she did, but we can find another way to honor her.

"Maybe a $2 bill?"

The $2 bill is one of the rarest denominations in the country, accounting for less than 1% of all U.S. currency.
