Oscar winner DiCaprio's throwback family photo gets backlash as critics brand his mother's armpit hair 'disgusting'

   

A family snap of Oscar award winner Leonardo DiCaprio as a child with his mother Irmelin and father George has sparked debate after it was posted on Facebook.

The picture has received more than 100,000 comments since being posted on the History In Pictures' page.

However critics called Irmelin's underarm hair 'disgusting' while others argued it was a 'lovely' picture. Leonardo and his mother are extremely close and she was present when he won his Oscar for The Revenant. See comments after cut..
