Today, Jerry Hall, 59, and Rupert Murdoch, 84, tied the knot today at Spencer House, an aristocratic palace in London - a day earlier than expected. Mr Murdoch, head of News UK, smiled for photographers in a navy suit next to former supermodel Ms Hall.

The bride wore her blonde hair loose and posed with a crocodile-print handbag and in Roger Vivier flats while showing off her wedding ring. The pair will hold a private ceremony of celebration on Saturday at St Bride's Church in Fleet Street, London.

Mr Murdoch proposed to Ms Hall in January after a five-month courtship. This is the fourth marriage for the media mogul and the second for Ms Hall, who was previously married to Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger. The model flashed her large engagement ring, rumoured to have cost Mr Murdoch £2.4 million, as she left the venue with her new husband today.
