Meet the 2016 Oscar Nominees attendees at Oscar Lunch Beverly Hilton

They are the honored few who have been nominated for a famous golden statuette. And last night the nominees for the 88th Academy Awards gathered together at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hill, LA, for the annual Oscar lunch and to pose for this picture - which clearly shows the lack of diversity among this year's nominees.

There has been much controversy surrounding the lack of black actors, actresses, producers and directors nominated, prompting celebrities including Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and Spike Lee to publicly announce they will not be attending the ceremony in protest.
