Tottenham's Emmanuel Adebayor rejected ONE MILLION PAY a Month move to Qatar in January

Emmanuel Adebayor turned down a stunning £1MILLION A MONTH offer to quit Tottenham for a club in Qatar, UK mirror reports.

Striker Adebayor was made the offer during the January transfer window, but rejected the move.
Adebayor also turned down moves to Queens Park Rangers and Stoke, while approaches from Roma and Paris Saint-Germain did not work out after Spurs told him they wanted to ship him out on loan.

The 30-year-old Togo international said: ”The transfer window was open for a month and we all knew what was happening. It didn't all happen in 48 hours.

"The club decided to send me out on loan, which I was pleased with. There were five good clubs interested and I [narrowed it down to] three before choosing the one I wanted. But Mr Levy was against the one I chose, because it was a rival.

“But I'm very happy to stay at the club and do my job."

He could have gone to the Middle East on an even bigger deal, as one offer from an unnamed Qatari club would have netted him £130,000-a-week - after tax.

That is the equivalent to £245,000-a-week - more than DOUBLE his current deal - and his decision to stay shows that he is not all about money.
