Grandmother was left 'looking like a monster' after allergic reaction to Lip Gloss

Grandmother, Lynda Roberts, 62, from Salford, thought she had a virus as her lips began to blister, crack and break out in pus-filled sores (pictured inset). She says she felt 'ugly and dirty' and missed her 40th wedding anniversary because she couldn't face leaving the house. After months of trying different medication, she stopped using her Dior Addict lip gloss, in case that would help. See reaction photo after cut....

Miraculously, her viral condition disappeared (she is pictured, left, with the lip gloss). Tests revealed she has an allergy to a preservative called propyl gallate, used commonly in cosmetics. Mrs Roberts said: 'It made me look ugly and dirty, especially when it went into black scabs. I think other people should know about propyl gallate because it can cause such a severe reaction.'

What is Propyl Gallate? Its is a preservative used in a wide range of cosmetics and beauty care products, including lipsticks, bath products, skin cleansing products, moisturizers, skin care products, makeup, self-tanning products, and sun cream.
It is also used in foods like meat products, microwaveable popcorn, soup, chewing gum, mayonnaise and frozen meals.

weblog. Is this a paid surveys (http://paidsurveysb.tripod.com) theme or
did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing,
it's rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays.
