| Suspects keeping hostages |
Happening right now: Cherif and Said Kouachi, who are being hunted by the police for the murder of 12 people, have taken an unidentified person hostage in Dammartin-en-Goele in Northeastern France.
Today's second hostage crisis emerged hours after the Charlie Hebdo killers Cherif and Said Kouachi took one person captive at a business premises near a Paris.
The Islamic militant holding six people hostage threaten to kill captives if police attempted to storm the Charlie Hebdo terrorists currently engaged in a standoff with police on the outskirts of Paris.
French police have also said that a man believed to be linked to the brothers has taken 6 hostages in a kosher supermarket in the East of the country.
The new suspect, identified as Amedy Coulibaly, 32 along with his girlfriend, Hayat Boumeddiene, in connection with the murder of policewoman, Clarissa Jean-Philippe on Thursday, January 8, in the South of France.
Police have now ordered all shops in Paris' famed Jewish district to be immediately closed.
