American Snipper's, 2015 Oscar nominations, has topped the US box office with a large amount of $90m (£59m).
American Snipper moved up from it's 21st place as at last weekend to the number one spot. The war drama is directed by Clint Eastwood and stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes, Kyle Gallner, Sam Jaeger, Jake McDorman and Cory Hardict. 'American Snipper' is Produced by Bradley Cooper, Andrew Lazar, Robert Lorenz and Peter Morgan.
Based on Chris Kyle's autobiography, 'American Sniper' is about late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who was regarded as the most deadly marksman in American military history.
Bradley Cooper who plays the lead role, Chris Kyle, is nominated for best actor in the 2015 Oscars.
Action comedy 'The Wedding Ringer' opened in second place with $21m. British family film 'Paddington' took the third place with $19.3m.
Liam Neeson's action sequel Taken 3 came fourth, while the Martin Luther King drama 'Selma' took the fifth place.
