Babysitter, 19, beat and strangled her 5-year-old nephew to death, threw his body away like trash

Little Kenneth White age 5, was found dead Thursday night in the woods behind the trailer where he  and his sisters live with his aunt Brenda in Knox, New York after both their mother and father lost custody of the children.

Kenneth's 19-year-old cousin,  Tiffany Vanalstyne,who was babysitting him, called police about 1.30pm on Thursday and reported that he had been kidnapped by two men in ski masks. Police now believe that story was a hoax.

Police report ,  shows the boy's head was bashed and strangled him to death before throwing his body over a guardrail into a ditch and covering it with snow on Thursday, police have revealed.

'I'm angry that we had a five-year-old killed and basically thrown away like a piece of trash. It's sinful and it's sad,' Sheriff Craig Apple, who was visibly shaken by the horrific murder, said today. 

 

Vanalstyne was charged with second-degree murder today. Her mother Brenda Vanalstyne told a judge that her daughter suffers from bipolar disorder, which she takes medication for.
