A Sierra Leone born Surgeon infected with Ebola in Sierra Leone will be flown to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for treatment this weekend, it was revealed Thursday, Foxnews reports.

He will be the first non-U.S. citizen to be flown back to the states for treatment although he is a permanent resident of the U.S.

He reportedly is married to a U.S. citizen and they have children together. It is not yet known how he contracted the virus, and if he was working in an Ebola treatment unit or hospital.

Representatives for the University of Nebraska Medical Center said hospital officials could not confirm the report until a patient was en route to the hospital.
