Happy Armistice Day! Britain Celebrates and European Countries

As Americans remember veterans of all wars, the federal holiday coincides with Armistice Day in United Kingdom and countries that commemorate end of World War I.

In Britain, 888,246 of blood-red ceramic poppies were "planted" at the Tower of London by 13-year old cadet. This poppies represent the number of soldiers that died during the world war.
The last one was planted on Tuesday as ceremonies across the United Kingdom commemorated the end of the con.

Tributes are being paid to servicemen and women who died in conflicts since the start of World War One.
